In the story, high school science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship with no memory of who he is or how he got here. He has to figure it out, as well as figure out how to complete his interstellar mission to save Earth from astronomical disaster. He has to do all of this all alone, until he meets a mysterious alien who has traveled light years to save his own species from the same fate.

Recall that Sandra Hueller was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in the 2023 film “Anatomy of a Fall”, directed and co-written by Justine Trieu. In the same year, the actress starred in Jonathan Glazer’s drama “Zone of Interest”, which was also nominated for Academy Awards.
